Life is Beautiful is a touching movie that focuses on family relationships. Roberto Benigni plays Guido Orefice, a waiter who falls in love with wealthy school teacher Dora, portrayed by Nicholetta Braschi. Dora and Guido eventually get married and have a son, Giosuè.

On the second part of the film, World War II takes place and Guido and Giosuè are taken to a concentration camp on the day of Giosuè’s birthday. The next scenes that take place show the efforts of Guido to shield Giosuè from the reality and harsh conditions on the concentration camp.
