Although I’m not a big fan of snow or ice, I am a fan of taking photos in it, especially if I have a new Fisheye lens that I want to experiment with on my Holga 135bc.
Leeds isn’t really well known for its countryside or greenery, but when you leave the city, you are reminded that you are still in Yorkshire and that surrounding the city there are hills, trees, and the countryside all around you.
Along the ring road of the city is one of the biggest towns in England: Horsforth and surrounding Horsforth are endless fields and rolling hills that follow the valley of the River Aire. This is where I decided to take photos with my new Fisheye lens and my Holga 135bc to capture the hazy, soft winter light, and the beauty of the snow over the fields. I think the results capture the serene atmosphere of the snow in Leeds perfectly.
