We Love LC-A Project!

6

We are proud to announce that the first LC-A Birthday Journey in Hong Kong has been successfully completed! LC-A Birthday Journeys are birthday parties organized by Lomographers in Asia, who have been devoted fans of the LC-A for many years!

The premise of the “We Love LC-A” Project is simple – we will document our short Journeys from home to the party point! Each of us (a total number of 25 people) took at least six rolls of films starting from our homes to TC2 Cafe where the party took place. At the party, we shared our best LC-A shots and the person who collected the most photos would win a secret prize from our host minghui. And of course, we had a lot of vodka and buffet and a secret surprise – a LC-A cake! Thanks to the helpful bakery chef at TC2!

We will then process the photos we took during our trip to the party, and edit them into 25 stop motion videos, align them in grid. The final video will be played during the official LC-A 25th anniversary party at Lomography Gallery Shop Hong Kong!

All of us shared a great night together, and celebrated the birthday of LC-A, which will be also documented and edited into our stop motion video. Great music, great food, great LC-A cake, great vodka, and a lot of films burnt. That’s what we consider a good life!

We look forward to the next LC-A Birthday Journeys starting on May 31 and June 7.

Lomographers from Asia (China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, etc), you can host your own LC-A Birthday Journey too at http://www.lomographyasia.com/journeys

    Lomo LC-A 120: Quirky Doors

In photography, we notice the surface first. The color and texture of things help us imagine what’s beneath. Doors, part of a building’s skin, have this appeal. They suggest how long a structure has been around and what sort of fellows live inside. They are details that fascinate Lomographers, judging from the many LC-A 120 snaps of intriguing entrances.
