London Short Film Festival Awards Ceremony at the ICA

This year Lomography were proud partners with The London Short Film Festival (LSFF). For nine days in January the LSFF screened hundreds of short films made by independent, creative film makers in the UK. We were invited along to the awards ceremony at the ICA to find out who made the winning list and see them get presented with an award and their very own Lomokino, courtesy of us!

For nine days in January, the LSFF or London Short Film Festival took over a variety of spaces around London to showcase no less than 250 short films made by creative and independent film makers in the UK. They have been running for 9 years now and with around 800 UK entries per year, have no intention of stopping. Here at Lomography, we love to encourage a bit of creativity in everyone so along with hosting a series of special LomoKino workshops, we also offered a Lomokino to every winner of the Festival.

We went along to the Awards Ceremony at the ICA Hosted by Philip Ilson – Festival Director, and Chlöe Roddick – Festival Producer (who wore a lovely polka dot dress). We arrived early and grabbed a seat right at the front next to a table with all the awards and LomoKinos lined up ready to be handed out.

There was a huge and diverse selection of winning films from chilling and thought provoking dramas, beautifully curated music videos, and edgy, unsettling animations. All the awards were handed out then everyone headed to the bar where we took some super snapshots of the winners with their prizes.

We brought along a Kino too and everyone was fascinated to see how it worked! We managed to capture the night with the help of some enthusiastic onlookers. For more information about the LSFF and details of this year’s winners you can visit the LSFF website, and who knows, next year it could be your film showing in 2013!!

Enter a new analogue dimension with the LomoKino. Lomography’s own 35mm analogue movie camera allows you to capture action and immortalize your story on film! Shoot 144 frames on any 35mm film and create your own cinematic masterpieces. Want to watch your movie the old-school way? We also offer the LomoKino and LomoKinoscope package!
