Fisheye Rumble in the Pond Chapter 42: The Lomographers Say: ”Truly Enlightening”

Creative individuals talk about their love for Lomography and of course, the Fisheye!

Pat Simasathien
32, structural engineer/student
Arlington, Texas, USA

The name’s Pat. Originally from Thailand. Currently living (or wasting my life) in the US. A structural engineer by trade. Had a couple psuedo-“love-of-my-life” incidents in the past. Obsessed with neatness – near to the level of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

Favorite Fisheye feature: Besides the spectacular 170-degree view, it’s gotta be the bulb setting (which in turn triggers the hotshoe flash).
Expert technique: My own “MOVE IT OUT OF THE CENTER” tip. While having the object right at the center of the 170-degree view is (somewhat) prominent, people need to appreciate the asymmetrically circular perspective more.
What the hell is Lomography? A very joyful part of my life.
Message: Just have fun with yourself. Be your own judge for your own work.

“Rumble in the Pond” is a 368-page hardcover book bursting with 170-degree Fisheye madness. Inside your will find exclusive tips and tricks, Lomographer profiles & interviews, an informative history of Fisheye lenses and goldfish breeding, and several hundred eye-popping barrel-distorted fisheye images.
