Lomography San Francisco’s Blue Hour / LomoKino Workshop and Movie Screening

Lights, camera, action: A night at the movies at Lomography Gallery Store San Francisco.

Aspiring and emerging LomoKino filmmakers gathered at the store to talk, watch and make movies. We discussed camera operation, visual storytelling and ways to share your movies with the people.

In addition, to get people even more excited, we premiered local LomoKino films and chatted about technique, style and just how the director’s got the films to look so good.

Then, cameras loaded, the new filmmakers burned off their first roll – making movies on beautiful 35mm film. The store was filled with the sounds of hyperactive LomoKino cranks, boisterous laughter and newly discovered actor’s delivering Oscar-worthy performances.

As, as the workshop winded down, more Lomographers joined the party for a movie-inspired Blue Hour. More good times, more movies to watch together.

It was a memorable night; San Francisco is the new Hollywood!
