New York Staten Island Ferry

Taking the Staten Island Ferry is the cheapest way to get close to the Stature of Liberty. It’s free, it’s fun, and you will be able to take some awesome photos!

The ferry leaves at the Staten Island Ferry Whitehall Terminal in Manhattan and it takes about 22 minutes to Staten Island. Within those 22 minutes you will pass the Stature of Liberty. Unfortunately, you won’t get as close to the statue as when taking an expensive tourist ferry, but close enough to take some great photos.

When you bring a variety of lenses (tele, wide angle…) you’ll get the best shots. Therefore, I especially recommend that you take your Diana F+ Deluxe Kit with you. :)

Furthermore, you have an amazing view of Manhattan’s skyline.

Try it when you are in New York, it’s almost the only thing in New York that is free and fun at the same time! :)

The Diana Mini is the ultra-compact, petite version of the Diana F+. This camera takes soft-focused, lo-fi images in 35mm and allows you to change between half-format and square shots with a flick of a switch. Get your own Diana Mini now!
