Analogue Bucket List: Making 2012 Better Than 2011

2011 was a massive year for me analogue-wise. I got a lot of new cameras, I took thousands of photos, I tried new films, I took photography courses… in fact I think 2011 is going to be hard to beat, but here’s my simple list of ways I’m going to make 2012 even better!

1. Take at least one roll of film a week. This should result in at least 52 rolls of film during the year – without trying I used 47 films in 2011 so this shouldn’t be too hard.

2. Use the cameras that I have but haven’t used yet. I bought a lot of cameras last year, in fact I now have over 40 different cameras and a lot of them are 35mm cameras that work but I haven’t got round to using. I’m looking forward to seeing the different results already.

3. Go on more ‘photography dates’. Last year my boyfriend got a digital camera and we went on a couple of dates just to take photos and then compare the results, I love seeing how differently we look at things and its a great way for us to get out and do something together too.

4. Take more photos of people. I saw that someone else wrote this in a bucket list and I agree that its something that I want to do more too – so I’m challenging myself to look at people differently, to let people into my photos, not to wait for them to walk past… to use them to enhance a photo and stop being scared that they might ruin it.

5. Take too many photos. I’m not sure there is such a thing as too many photos – but I can at least at try and see, right?

Happy New Year and here’s to 2012!!
