Lomography Color Negative 100: Surprise, Surprise!


Sweet, friendly, tender, and a good partner… that’s how I describe Lomography CN 100 35mm. He opened my eyes for color negative films. Why shouldn’t he open your eyes too? Read on to find out why you should give it a try!

My entry into the Lomographic world was due much to all the aesthetics involved and rebellious photos, but mostly due to the colorful world that was presented to me. Soon, I realized that all that radical colors were results of, in part, slide films. So, my first films were all cross-processed slides.

However, I was looking to experience the range of photographic film. Inevitably, I ended up with the Lomography CN 100 35mm and I was actually amazed and surprised. I never thought that a color negative film with a low ISO could offer such a high color saturation and less grain.

One day, I felt like taking a walk on the beach. The day was a bit cloudy and I only had the Lomography CN 100 with me. But I felt Lomography calling me! I got stunning colors! In fact, my most voted photo was taken using this film.

It seems like this film challenges light. I was also surprised by its teamwork with the colorful flash of the Diana F+. The colors, once again, are super bright.

    Nice! I often switch between different types of films too. When CN seemed too ordinary, I turned to slides. When all the color explosions became too much, I started using black+white. When I've tried all the experimental ones, I return to CN for something simple and reliable :)
