Come Down to Chinatown with the Kodak EB 100

Chinatown is a well-known place for Chinese people, be it in Singapore, the US, etc. Today I am going to introduce the Chinatown in Singapore to you guys. Chinatown is an ethnic neighbourhood where strong Chinese cultural elements can be found and it is located within the larger district of Outram and here we call it as Niu Che Shui (牛车水) which means bull-cart water. It was called as such because back in the 19th century, water supply there were carried around by bull cart.

The Urban Redevelopment Authority declared that Chinatown as a national heritage site because Chinese history and culture can be significantly found there. You will get to shoot at many unique and interesting things as there are several precincts – Kreta Ayer, Telok Ayer, Tanjong Pagar, Bukit Pasoh, and Ann Siang Hill. By walking around, you will get to see many Chinese oriented buildings, food stalls where you can get to try traditional Chinese food, shops where you can get attractive gifts for someone etc. Getting there is easy as there is a train station (Mass Rapid Transit), which you can exit to the streets of Chinatown and you can start exploring around.

Singapore’s Chinatown is a must to visit for lomographers out there and I am very sure you will have great fun there!
