Windy Marina Barrage

Having a bright sunny day is the one thing which we lomographers would ask for. So here I am going to introduce another place where you can get great lomo shots. It is Marina Barrage, a dam which was built in 2008 as the fifteenth reservoir in Singapore. It is located at 8 Marina Gardens Drive Singapore 018951.

Building Marina Barrage brings in three benefits. Firstly, water supply as “unclean water” will be desalted to drinking water. Secondly, flood control whereby low lying areas in the city will have their flooding alleviated. Lastly, lifestyle attractions such as boating, windsurfing, kayaking, “dragonboating” etc. as the water will be kept constant and will not be affected by tides.

Soon it became one of the hangout places for youngsters where they can have a picnic, fly a kite, or simply sit down and relax themselves and not forgetting to take photos!

So come on down to Marina Barrage for and start shooting.
