Urban Adventures in Telok Kurau

Having a headache on where to shoot on a sunny weekend? Try Telok Kurau! It is famous for its old private houses and retaining a lot of old shop houses and temples. My friends and I headed from the Aljunied area towards Telok Kurau to experience its heritage! There are many constructions of buildings and road repair going on and we also saw one of the shop house units caught on fire with firefighters and the fire truck!

There is also an old Hindu Temple around the area, which is magnificent, having carvings and drawings all over its ceilings and pillars. The place is very quiet and peaceful, not much visitors and the lighting condition there is extremely lovely. You can also take some photos at the temple’s backyard where there are patches of short carpet grass, which is very comfortable to sit and lie on.

There are churches on the way which has many interesting details you will like to include in your frames. There are also chickens around the bungalows, which is quite lovely for monochrome pictures as they will give your pictures contrast!

If you are up for human portraits, this is the place to go to!
