A Review of the Agfa Agfachrome RS 100 Plus Professional 120

The Agfa Agfachrome RS 100 Plus Professional is a medium format slide film from a budget resolution by a photographer. It’s the first of its kind that I had cross processed.

I’ve found Agfa Agfachrome RS 100 Plus so far only once and only one roll from a budget resolution by a photographer. In addition, there was a lot of other great films. Instead, it has paid off to crawl off the bed on an early Sunday morning. The film was the first medium format film I’ve had cross processed. The opportunity has been a long time coming. But when I went to Paris last Fall to visit relatives, I seized the opportunity.

I thought for a long time in which camera I should put it and then decided for the Lubitel 2. It was a good decision, as it turned out later. Without a light meter and a trained eye I used the exposure table with symbols of the Lubitel 166+. The colors are gaudy and with high contrast, typical results from cross processing. Everything is a little bit blue and green. By the age of the film, it expired 10 years ago, so the results were very grainy.

If you have not done so yet, you absolutely must have a medium format film cross processed one time. It’s a very different experience than with a 35 mm film.

Color Slide Films give deep saturation and great contrast when normally processed. When cross-processed, expect a huge colour shift that will knock your socks off. See the whole range of films in our Shop.
