Angkor Wat: Kingdom of Wonder

This is not the first location feature of Angkor Wat here in Lomography but I would still love to share my experience of traveling to Angkor Wat, instead of just saying a story about Angkor Wat.

Honestly, being able to visit Angkor Wat is one of the locations in my travel dream list. I like to visit huge ancient buildings where I have no idea how people were able to build it in ancient time.

Basically, I do not know the way to get to Angkor Wat. However, it is not expensive when we hired a local tour guide who is friendly and owned a van. With a local tour guide, we made it to Angkor Wat easily.

The moment I stepped on the entrance of Angkor Wat, I was just stunned by how huge the temple is. It was such a wide place with a big, high wall surrounding the temple, and a long path leading into the temple; all built with stones, block by block and solidly joined one by one.

Besides, I was also amazed by the structure of the temple, most surfaces were crafted with beautiful patterns and art with some walls even crafted with pictures that tell a story. You could explore the whole temple as you like, and this is one of the best things!

We were so excited and I could not stop taking lots of pictures. I just did not want to miss anything here, I want to bring back all of what I saw and what I liked there. I like it a lot when I saw myself as a very tiny speck standing in a giant world.

Don’t forget to take the most magnificent view of Angkor Wat. Most tour guides or tourists would arrive early in the morning, around 6am just to see the most wonderful view of Angkor Wat.

As a conclusion of this location sharing, I must say that Angkor Wat is a really amazing ancient temple to visit. It is a very nice place to get lots of good pictures too. Here are some of my other pictures taken in Angkor Wat.

Hope you guys love them all. Thanks. :)
