Jeremiah Edmond from Manchester Orchestra wears Lomography T-shirt on David Letterman show.
Lately it seems we’ve been making lots of friends in the music world. It seems like musicians just take to Lomography naturally, and some of them are super-passionate about our favorite pastime. Jeremiah Edmond plays drums in one of our favorite US bands, Manchester Orchestra. MO have a new album out, and they were guests on David Letterman’s show last night to promote it. Jeremiah was kind enough to rock one of the new Lomography T-shirts behind the skins on the show. Stay tuned for more Lomography from Jeremiah, who is as comfortable behind an LC-A+ as he is behind his drum kit!
LomoAmigo Sophia Ragomo went behind-the-scenes with Nashville-based alternative rock band Halfnoise in New York City to show what a day in the life of the band is really like. From soundcheck to pre-show to performance, Sophia was there to capture all the action. Check out her photos here.
For this very special LomoWalk we are teaming up with our friends at Strand Books and will take you and your Lomography Simple Use Camera on a beautiful NYC walk that combines photography and literature. Inspiration will be provided by author Eileen Myles.
On the fourth day of Residency Week in Vienna, Lomography organized a day trip to Bratislava for us. The capital of Slovakia is only an hour away from Vienna by train so the trip turned out to be a wonderful idea. We were supposed to meet on the main railway station Hauptbahnhof.
The TEN AND ONE Residency Week has been very intense and full of activities. From 11 to 18 November, we did LomoWalks around Vienna, guided visits to museums and magazine editorial office, a workshop, a trip to Bratislava, worked on our LomoWall and of course LomoLunch and LomoDinner. We had the opportunity to attend a Cyanotype Workshop at Lomography Head Quarter held by Michael Wuermer, a young and nice photographer and printer.
In this second installment of our special two-part feature on cinematic photographers, we take a look back to more photographers who have mastered the dreamy, often surreal aesthetic of cinematic photography.
