Hello Malaysians and Lomography community! Meet Mohd Aliff bin Jamil, also known as Jibam from Johor Bahru! He is a proud member of Effekts, a community of analogue lovers from Malaysia. Get to know more about Jibam.
Around 2009, I met him through forum and got the chance to meet him personally in mid-2009. I found him humble, funny and easy to get along with. I felt like following this fella, I almost put him in the same position as Naruto, haha!
His cameras are the legendary LC-A, Holga 120 CFN, Fisheye No. 2, Supersampler, Horizon Kompakt, Pop 9 and Frogeye. When I heard that he owns these, I said to myself “WOW! This guy is such a rich man!”. I wondered how he comes up with the funding to have all these cameras.
Impressed? I guess he has magic hands. Speaking of his contribution in Malaysian Lomography scene, he was the backbone of the latest event called “I’m Positively Creative Too” organized by Effekts X Rumah Solehah. Having had the experience to work with Jibam, I found that he is very creative, trustworthy, honest and reliable. He can see things in different ways. For example, he thinks about his LomoWall concept and can arrange it in different ways in only a short amount of time. For sure, the LomoWall concept that he will come up with will not be the same as the previous LomoWall that he made.
Below are some photos that he took:
