Caviar is on Lisbon's Christmas Wishlist

2011-12-09

A star in its own right, it is no wonder that the La Sardina Caviar caught the attention of one of the most well-known and distributed guides to Lisbon’s neighborhoods.

Lisboa ConVida (Convida means ‘invites’; Com Vida means ‘with life’ or ‘lively’) is a free guide to some of the most notorious spots of interest in Lisbon’s traditional neighborhoods.

All of its editions so far have been very retro like in looks, as you can see by the different covers here. They pride themselves in their traditional and vintage looks and this issue is no exception. It takes us right back to the old little stores of traditional commerce areas, just like the one where you can find Lisbon’s Lomo Embassy Store.

Having its doors wide open to everyone, be they locals or tourists, this store has a very dynamic approach to commerce (drool inducing window shops for instance). This of course has called the attention of Lisbon’s ConVida for the Baixa-Chiado area, the neighbourhood where the store is located.

With the Caviar La Sardina being so shinny and precious, it obviously became the main attraction to show off on the pages of this guide, telling you in one single picture to visit the store, drool over the beauty of the camera, and convert yourself to the analogue lifestyle we all cherish and love.

This being the edition that nears the Christmas season, it makes its ‘Shopping’ section a true treasure map of ideas for gifts for friends, family, and yourself. The Beluga, Caviars’ Sister, already happens to be on my own personal lomo wishlist, and so I couldn’t agree more with this guide’s suggestion.

I have been dreaming over a La Sardina Camera for a while now, and so it really warmed my heart finding one of my beloved cameras inside the pages of such a well spread out guide, promoting the love of beautiful and analogue things, throughout my city, and even the world.

Get ready to sail the high seas with our new La Sardina collection! These 35mm cameras are equipped with spectacular wide-angle lens, multiple exposure capabilities, and a rewind dial—everything you need for fun-filled and thrill-soaked escapades. Get your own La Sardina camera now!

The World According to Herr Willie: The Spirit of Jogja

It is the marvel of Java, the cultural center of Indonesia: Yogyakarta, or, as we assimilated locals call it, Jogja! Jogja is full of historic sites and exudes a very adventurous yet welcoming spirit. It is a true multireligious melting pot that has seen kings and sultans come and go, and religions introduced and either went or stayed. Time has been gentle on Jogja. It's one of my most favorite cities in Asia.
