Here in Lomography, we are all lovers of all things analogue, in various aspects and varying degrees. If you’re one of those who prefer reading the analogue way, you’ll surely enjoy this new series that will kick-off very soon! Allow us to give you a preview, so you’ll have something to look forward to!
We’re positive that aside from film photography, many of us here in the community also have a preference for reading, and not just reading, but reading the analogue way. Nothing compares to the multi-sensory experience of holding a book in your hand, feeling its weight and textures, smelling its pages, and prying it open on a quiet afternoon or in the dead of the night.
With this in mind, we thought of bringing you a new series that will hopefully delight the ardent bibliophile in you. Called The Analogue Reader, it aims not only to provide a selection of noteworthy titles, but also to foster the joy of reading, the way it’s best done and enjoyed.
What you can expect from this series? Well, we’re planning to make reviews and recommendations of books of all sorts and genres:
- Anthologies and compilations on essays, short stories, poems, quotes, etc.
If you’re wondering why photobooks are not included in this series, that’s because we have a dedicated series for them. You will find photobook features on Photos on Pages.
What if you wish to make your own recommendations? Why of course, you can; we encourage you to do so! We believe that each of us have one or two best-loved books that we’re dying to share with other book-loving people. So, if you feel like making a contribution to the series, maybe you can start digging through your bookshelves and write about your favorite books!
We hope you’re looking forward to the first installment as much as we’re excited to get the ball rolling!
