Help Somebody See Again by Supporting the Lomo Kikuyu Project

2009-04-09 6

It doesn’t take much to save somebody’s eyesight!

In the past three year, 30,000 $ have been contributed by you to save the eyesight of 1,000 people in Kenya!

LomoKikuyu – it’s good to see (again). A Lomography Social Project. from Lomography on Vimeo.

It all started back in 2006 when Lomography teamed up with Light for the World, an international aid agency and a tiny Eye Hospital in a Kikuyu, Kenya. The doctors there help their patients to see again by carrying out a simple procedure on their cataracts. To raise awareness for this project Lomography published the book It's Good to See - again containing photos taken during Lomography’s first trip to Kikuyu.

It only takes 30 EUR/ USD save someone’s eyesight. If you spend 30 EUR/$ on the It’s Good to See – again
book you finance one surgery and let someone see again!
