Here We Go Magic is a New York-based band whose music is a hazy mix of lo-fi noise, electronic beats, and folk influences. Make sure to watch their music video in high quality – it was made with Super 8 film!
Here We Go Magic fuses electronic textures with dreamy melodies and lo-fi folk elements, which isn’t really a surprise since Luke Temple (the band’s founder) is a folk singer. It started out as a project until Temple decided to expand into a full band, touring with The Walkmen and Grizzly Bear.
“Tunnelvision” is a track from their self-titled debut album, created using a 4-track recorder. At the time of the recording it was still a solo project – Temple only had a microphone, a synth, a tom, and an acoustic guitar. Check out the music video – directed by Peking (Nat Livingston Johnson and Gregory Mitnick).
