For one week only! set up in a giant field come see! roll up roll up ….
The Hoppings is held on the Town Moor in Newcastle upon Tyne UK during the last week in June. It is said to be Europe’s largest traveling fun fair ! It is rather huge !
The fair began as a Temperance Fair in 1882. It was scheduled to coincide with Race Week at Newcastle Racecourse.
The town moor is a huge grass field where cows usually walk about but not at this time of year ! I love the smell of the hot dogs and the candy floss from the fair – but I don’t often go on the rides apart from the giant wheel – which gives you views of the city – which is pretty cool . If it rains that week the place is one giant mud bath. You can spend hours walking around it and there is so much to see and do, and of course so many lomo images to make. I like to go visit at night best of all. So I usually head out around dusk time …
A few months ago we set up a series of competitions asking you to submit your best shots representing different cities from all over the world. The winners were chosen and the UK team set to work on the 8.5 meter Ganton St Lomowall.
There are hundreds of festivals cropping up in the UK over the next few weeks and the Fisheye 2 is the perfect camera to document the fun. Here are some tips on making the mos of this 35mm 170 degree camera!
In the twilight days of 2017, documentarist Kevin McElvaney flew to Thailand for work. Having acquired a fresh roll of the LomoChrome Purple, he decided to load it up and took a stroll in the magnificent city of Bangkok.

Last week, the TEN AND ONE winners flew in from all over the world to enjoy a week of workshops and exchange about their love for photography. I had the pleasure of spending a day with them and the Lomography staff, going on one of the famous LomoWalks.
I have come back after a week of my TEN AND ONE Artistic Residency at Lomography HQ in Vienna with my head full of ideas and projects that I would like to start and try out. By the end of the week I have a book (almost) full of tips, anecdotes and pure Lomographic love.
Many things can be said about American photography pioneer Bayard Wootten, but all her accomplishments can only mean one thing: she's the photographer everyone should look up to. For International Women's Day, we highlight her amazing experiences and life.
On the fourth day of Residency Week in Vienna, Lomography organized a day trip to Bratislava for us. The capital of Slovakia is only an hour away from Vienna by train so the trip turned out to be a wonderful idea. We were supposed to meet on the main railway station Hauptbahnhof.
Daniel Arnold may just be one of the most important names in contemporary street photography. Known for his raw takes on New York City life, he leaves no detail glamorized and allows himself to get into their personal space -- a task only for the fearless shooters in the concrete jungle.
This month come and see the new exhibition by Brian May and choose your own camera for our workshops. Either test out some LomoChrome Purple film in the Soho streets or have a go at chasing shadows, light trails and reflections in our evening workshop.
