Český Krumlov, South Bohemia

Have you ever been to a place that has such a magical atmosphere that it almost feels surreal? Well, the small town of Český Krumlov is one of those places.

Located in the South Bohemia region of Czech Republic, Český Krumlov is a village that is about 3 hours away from Prague. If you are looking for a cute place to get away from the city for a day or two, this might be the perfect place for you.

A magnificent castle overlooks the city (pretty much the only attraction there), and its colored tower is visible from any point of it.

Upon climbing in, you will get a breathtaking view of the surroundings and characteristic asymmetric houses. My mate Genny and I spent at least half an hour there, amazed by the beauty of the landscape.

The next day, we hopped onto a train and went to Šumava National Park to spend a day in nature. Be aware that no ones speaks English there, and the only two restaurants that were boarding the unique street were deserted!

Then we got back in Český Krumlov to enjoy a delicious (and very cheap!) Czech meal.

I’ve never been to a place with such a magical ambiance! I did my best to capture this special aura on film. This was shot with a Canon AE-1 on Lucky Super Color 200

You always have to be prepared going to the smaller towns where fewer people speak English and shops close for no reason. It happened to me when I didn't know it was a holiday and was stranded without a place to eat. Now when I travel I always carry some snacks. Looks like you had good fun.
