On Sunday the 30th October we gave the last workshop in the series “Introduction to Lomography” in the Lomography Gallery Store Amsterdam. Read on for the recap and pictures…
This time the weather was not really on our side, but it did not prevent the 15 participants from showing up with good spirits to the last workshop of October, and the last in the “introduction to Lomography” series (for now).
We went through the history of Lomography, the 10 golden rules, on to some camera and film basics and then on to the La Sardina. After getting intimate with the camera, we explored some techniques, such as multiple exposures, panoramas, long exposures and the use of flash.
Then came the time to go out to the gray day outside. The participants could choose between 100iso film – to use with flash and/or do some serious multiple exposures – and 800iso film, suited for the heavily clouded day. They then stormed the neighborhood in pairs armed with La Sardinas having 45 minutes to shoot their free roll of film, which they all managed!
We met back at the shop to unload the films and collect them for developing, collecting emails and to answer some questions. Most of participants then took advantage of the 10% discount they were offered for participating in the workshop to get some goods at the store!
It was great fun again, and we are now looking forward to the November workshops! Check the event calendar for more details. See you there!
