“Por El Medio de la Calle” is one of the major cultural and artistic events that we celebrate in Caracas, September of every year. Find out what my friend Erika Zambrano and I did with our lomos and how people went crazy with the shots!
Almost every day of the year, Caracas is a total chaos: traffic and stress do not leave a lot of space for most of the Caraqueños to enjoy the city spaces and urban art. For the last six years, there’s been a special day for everybody to get together “por el medio de la calle” (right in the middle of the street) to walk around some parts of the city and enjoy live music and other performances, as well as photography exhibitions, urban art live demonstrations and other cultural activities. The streets are always flooded by all the people who attend the event, so it was a great opportunity for two lomographers like _erikazambrano and I to take our Fisheye 2, LC-A+, Colorsplash & Diana F+ Flashes to go crazy making portraits of friends, not friends, lomographers, masked people and ourselves. Everybody was happy to pose for us and to see the results at our Facebook page – Lomo Venezuela. We did an excellent job promoting Lomography and our page! Here you have some of the portraits we took:
3D effect lomographs:

We are planning to show our pictures next year in Por El Medio de la Calle, we hope they accept our lomographs!
