The Lomo Hipshot Showdown - Patterns!

You’ve got the best Lomo gear and you’ve been taking shots with it like a mega-Lomo-maniac! But let me ask you, are you ready to show off what you’ve got?

Credits: mczoum

In case you’re wondering what’s all these flurry of excitement all about, well, starting today we’re going to have a brand new competition wherein you can test your snap-shooting abilities and battle it out with your fellow Lomographers in the community for a chance to snag heaps of piggys and earn that fame you’ve always yearned for!

And what makes this one an extra-special kind of competition, you ask? That’s because it is also YOU who gets to decide who will win! (Wherein the winner will be determined by the number of likes!) Massively brilliant, isn’t it?

Since this will be our very first showdown of sorts, let’s start with something very easy – Patterns! It seems to be the much talked about stuff as of late here in Lomography and this is what actually caught our curiosity right away! May it be plaid, bold stripes, argyle or the ever fashionable houndstooth – we want to see them in your shots for this showdown!

Prize(s): 1 showdown winner of 15 Piggies, the winner will receive a special award badge straight to their LomoHome

bit of a naive question: does the number of likes that a photo already has count for the rumble? or do you set it to some sort of zero once the rumble starts/the photo is submitted?

another naive question: does anyone in lomo check if the photo has anything to do with a rumble? or could an extremely popular photo with 200 something likes but nothing to do with the theme, win?

Hi @cc-in-paris! Once the photo is submitted, we make sure that its likes have been reset for the showdown. :) Also, we won't consider submissions that aren't related to the theme. Thanks for asking!

I agree with @cpolpa ! I don't have any of these social media shares so I wont even have a chance...! And by the way, my submitted picture's number of likes never went to 0. Was it supposed to or LSI only counts the likes since the rumble started but we can still see all the likes it had before the rumble? It's not very clear to me how this works... :)
