Everybody always say that Paris is a magical city, and that there’s no place more romantic than Paris in springtime. That’s simply because they’ve never been in Paris during the fall, when the wind starts blowing and it starts to get a bit chilly, the city of lights transform into a whole different place.
I’m really convinced that the best time to visit Paris is during the fall. For starters, the natural light changes a lot and it becomes much warmer, giving your lomographs awesome colors during sunlight.
Something I strongly suggest you do with your better half is get a nice spot on any of the bridges in the center of town and wait for the sunset over the Seine River.
Another great spot to watch the sun come down from the horizon with that special someone is the Louvre Museum entrance. Right on the huge patio, you’ll be able to see how the sun reflects on the amazing crystal pyramid.
A great plus of visiting Paris during the fall is there are less tourists, yeah it starts getting a bit windy, but hey, it’s a great chance to walk close together with your loved one. Hold them close and wander the amazing streets of Paris or stop and sit at a café and just enjoy the surroundings.
If you’ve been to Paris before (or if you’ve ever opened a Paris city guide) you know that the Eiffel Tower is a must see. Although, the best place to get that shot to frame and remember your trip, is not under the tower but a few meters back from Trocadero, since it’s on higher ground. There’s a lot of space to move around and look for the perfect angle, you’ll get great shots for your lomohome or even to hang in your flat and remember that lovely autumn trip…
So now you know! If you have a chance to visit Paris with your loved one, go during the fall, you won’t regret it, and don’t forget to carry some extra film rolls with your favorite Lomography camera!
This a photo of the place I saw her for the first time, we’ve been together for four wonderful years and it all started in Paris, during a great weekend in autumn…
