The railway station remind us that the British were the first to built this railway lines to meet the transportation demands of the tin mining industry at that time. Historian stated that Perak was the pioneer of train travel in Malaya. On the upstairs is the hotel for the traveler named as Majestic Hotel. Beside the hotel there is a large open air veranda cafe for you to relax.

The Ipoh Railway Station provides a function room for any meeting or event too. The building compound is surrounded by a beautiful floral garden. Standing tall is the famous “Ipoh Tree”, which is poisonous and was used by those native in the early days to make poisonous dart for their blow pipes weapon.
