I have always had the love for felines; stray cats especially. One lazy evening, I decided to grab my camera and go out just to photograph stray cats. Is it that easy to spot as many stray cats as you want? It’s all by luck I would say, but on this special day, I was fortunate enough.
I have always loved cats, even though I do not have a chance to keep one due to my mom’s allergy to the animal fur. The love for the felines; stray cats especially, has only grown bigger and bigger. And now it still remains as my most favorite subject to photograph.
One lazy evening, I decided to grab my camera, a La Sardina, and go out just to photograph the stray cats. It was not as easy as I thought; you cannot see the cats just because you want to see them. It was pretty much all by luck. After searching for a while, I was lucky enough to come across the backstreet of a wet market, and I spotted my very first model, a very expressive one, of the day.
One cat led to another, I found quite a few cats in the same area. They are all so adorable in their very own way, some just love to get close with the people, some are distant at first but soon began to like you after a while, some are just afraid of you and ran away, whenever you try to get closer.
As much as I would like to get close to them, I found it just as interesting shooting from far, and simply let the cats be the minor part of the big picture.
And my favorite photo of the day is definitely this.
Forget about spending your day in the malls during leisure time. Grab your camera and explore nature, get close to your favorite animals. The time is spent much more meaningfully that way.
