Notre Dame: Every Lomographer's Dream

2011-10-12

The Notre Dame in Paris is not only a gorgeous cathedral but also a lomography icon that appeals to every lomographer to play the camera-film-angle game.

The Notre Dame cathedral is one of Paris’ famous symbols! This amazing gothic cathedral stands out at the eastern half of the Ile de la Cite in the 4th arrondissement. A privileged view is seen from the bridges along the Seine. This is definitely a perfect spot to shoot some photos!

Once closer to the cathedral and looking up, it is impossible to not feel very (very) small.

From here, the Notre Dame architectural details astonishes anyone. There is the urge to shoot, shoot, and shoot! Just choose which camera and film and find your perfect angle. It is time to play the camera-film-angle game!

If you are lucky, you might even spot a lomography bunny in front of the Notre Dame! Well, I did! But I have to confess that it was all due to the friendly and dynamic team of Lomography Paris. To have a glimpse, just visit their lomo home at Lomography Paris

    The Infallible Electric Eye

By far the oddest-looking camera I own, the Electric Eye is an auto-exposure viewfinder camera made by Bell & Howell in the late 1950s. I picked one up online and ended up with another one, that came with a very cool, retro looking carrying case, from my grandfather. It took a little while to try these two out but after running some film I found that this camera is a lot of fun to shoot with.
