Name: Diane Sagnier
Please tell us a little about yourself…
I am a 21 year old photographer/videomaker, living in Paris. I come and go where the sun is. I’ve been working as a professional for a year now, making fashion, lifestyle and musician pictures as much as music videos for bands, and acoustic sessions for websites.
How would you describe the LomoKino in 5 words?
As a sentence… Adventures from a plastic box.
As 5 different words: Life, adventure, movement, memories, retroactivelove.
What’s your favorite feature of the LomoKino and why?
I love the fact that you feel like you’re reinventing modern movies and memory capturing.
What LomoKino movie would you most like to shoot?
I’d love to shoot a roadtrip as a music video.
If you could give the LomoKino to one other Director, who would it be?
Ben Briand, an amazing Director with whom I’ve been in contact throughout this year. He’s my mentor.
Do you have any advice for LomoKino newcomers?
Film the things you love, with care and attention. The roll of film goes fast. I recommend negative film because the final effect is clearer than with positive film.
