LomoCool LomoMeetIngs in Bari

2011-10-05 7

It’s cool to spend time with people who share your same passion. And that’s precisely what happened last August in Bari.

I didn’t think I’d find so many fans of analog photography so close to home; but Lomography and other social networks were great in helping me find almost all of them.

Together with my friend kingdjin, I designed and created a Facebook Group that recruited Lomographers dispersed in the territory. We spammed indiscriminately until we received results: requests came in one after the other!

In August, we came up with a great idea: to meet, shoot, and exchange opinions!

We met at the June 2nd Park…and here are some results:

Towards the end of month, we tried to repeat the experiment…but it wasn’t as successful:

Thanks to all participants: teresaromano, kingdjin, del0rean, francescaungolo, and all those who aren’t on Lomography.com yet!

See you next time!

    Trusty Bags for Trusty Cameras

We spend copious amounts of time stalking camera forums and researching specifications that "hunter" seems a more fitting term than "collector." And yet, when the time comes to pack all this game—the new or thrillingly ancient cameras—we DIY padding on the spot. (Guilty of trying to avoid the unappealing gear bag from the department store.) Last year though we stocked up on camera bags that are as cool as they are protective. Here are some of them.
