Love at first shot…my whirlwind romance with the La Sardina. Who knew that a camera modelled on a sardine can could be so sexy and functional?
From the moment I unpacked the La Sardina I loved it, it is light, yet incredibly rugged for a plastic camera, it is easy to load with film and very low fuss. The lens can be turned in and compressed into the camera body while traveling or storing, a MX (multiple exposure) switch along with both bulb and normal shutter modes.
From my first film the La Sardina has been a breeze to use, a nice clean shutter, easy film winding and a super cute design. I feel that I can just throw (gently of course) the La Sardina in my bag and not worry that it will be harmed at all.
I have an intense love of multiple exposures, so it was great to have a wide-lens camera to try out some multiples with, and the La Sardina does not disappoint! Beautiful clear, bright and even multiple exposures Ahoy!
Adding the La Sardina to my camera collection has been an absolute joy. If I had to make a camera comparison I would make it to my LC-A, with an equal ease of use and great consistent results, the La Sardina is a great choice to make if you don’t want to invest hundreds of dollars in an LC-A, but want the features of an MX switch, B and N modes and 35mm film.
I’ve falling head over heels in love with the La Sardina…and I feel the love is multiple… ahem… I mean mutual.
