Some months ago we launched an experiment in our playground to search for photos by color. This week we continued working on it and made a lot of different queries. One of them: search for super dark black and white photos – the ones with no saturation and the lowest possible brightness. See a great gallery of those in this article.
In tradition with our previous gallery articles we have a listening recommendation for this one as well: When Night Becomes the Morn by Cosmo Black. So click on “show all photos”, hit play and scroll slowly through the dark selection.
We collaborated with incredible Indonesian fashion illustrator Dinda Puspitasari to create a special edition of the Lomo'Instant Automat – and we're giving one away for free! Find out more about this amazing artist and how to win here.
The Met Gala is New York's biggest night of the year! Naturally, LomoAmigo Dan Bassini, who is known for hunting down celebrities for a photo on his point and shoot, did not miss this one either. See who he captured on Lomography Color Negative 800 at the Met Gala.
Photographer Justin Rose, who works for the popular street photography Instagram account, Street Honey, shot some Lomography film on a recent road trip along the West Coast. Check out the results here.
Earlier this year, Lomography launched a new B&W Kino film in 35mm and 120 format. In partnership with the Penumbra Foundation, we held a workshop where participants were able to test out Lomography's new film on the streets of NYC and learn how to develop their own film. Check out more here.
We shine the spotlight on Lomographers who have been with us for the past few years. They are the community members who continue to inspire us with their distinctive visual styles. Say hello to frenchfyl, a Lomographer who hails from a small village in the South of France!
