Shutterbugs: A New Web Comedy Series

Isn’t it about time photographers had their own funny and quirky web series?

Today was the premiere of the first webisode of Shutterbugs, an Australian-based web comedy series which follows a motley group of photographers.

Among the cast of characters, it’s no surprise we lomographers will be big fans of main character Chloe, a fellow analogue lover. Her camera collection contains at least a La Sardina and a Diana, as seen in the first episode, as well as a Sprocket Rocket and Lubitel 2, as seen in some of the promotional photos.

See how many Lomography items you can spot in this behind-the-scenes shot:

Even photographers who aren’t exclusively into film photography will have someone to identify with. Other characters include: Isaac, an OCD digital portrait photographer, social photographer Samantha, video blogger Bo and time-lapse specialist Trent.

While only one episode is out so far, expect Shutterbugs to show the highs and lows of trying to capture that one great shot. Starting today, a new episode will premiere every Tuesday, so be sure to check back each week.

    Stalking the City: Ricardo Lozano

New York is an infinitely photographable city in spite—or because—of its innate chaos. And even when the medium is film, praised nowadays for the virtue of slowness, the photographer must keep up with the city’s pace. Ricardo Lozano, 35mm photographer and Lomography community member, managed to do it for the series OK Commuter, now a book by A Love Token Press.
