2 Why do you still shoot analogue?

With film, I’m not just pressing a button and getting a photo. I’m going through a whole tangible process to get the shot that I have in my head. Going through that process makes it so much more rewarding when I do get the shot that I love.

3 What photographic equipment (cameras, films, and accessories) do you usually have in your bag?

I always seem to have my Holga in my bag, and lately I’ve been shooting more with my Yashica Electro 35. I used to carry around a bunch of cameras with me, but lately I’ve been trying to only take out 1 or 2 so I can really concentrate on those rolls and the direction I want to take with them. Also, my mini tripod goes with me everywhere.

4 Share a trick of yours that will always result to a great photo.

Experiment with double exposures. Pay attention to light. Take photos of the people you love.

5 What photographers influence your work?

I’m a huge fan of Annette Pehrsson. She captures such beauty in the simple things around her. I found her blog about a year ago, and I’m constantly amazed and in awe of the photographs that she takes. Vivian Maier is also somebody that I really admire. Her story and her photographs are just incredible. Also, I really love Jackie Young, Massou, and David Adam Salinas. Their photos have completely different styles but are all so inspiring to me.
