The Republic of San Marino

2011-10-22 1

On the Italian territory a few kilometers away from Rimini, you’ll find the Republic of San Marino.

One of the most ancient republics after that of Rome. Founded around 300 AD, by a stonemason, Santo Marino, who escaped from Christian persecution during the reign of Emperor Diocletian.
