Pisa

Oh, who in the world hasn’t heard of Pisa and its infamous leaning tower?! I remember my parents had one of those tacky tower lamp souvenirs from their many trips abroad (I’m from the Philippines) and knew the moment I had the chance, I too would make my way to that lovely little city and take in the tower myself. And that I did.

I was Lomo-empty handed the first 3 times I visited but as luck would have it, I was back there early this year and was able to take some snaps of the tower.

It was built in 1173 and took over 200 years to complete. Obviously it’s widely known to be sinking which explains the tilt of the tower which is largely what the fuss is all about. Entrance to climb to the top is 15euros/person and since you’re there already, you might as well go for it. A very Lomographic spot indeed! Pisa is a quaint lovely town and doesn’t require more than an afternoon to explore and is only a short 35 minutes train ride from Florence. There are also direct flights to Pisa airport via Ryanair from lots of destinations. A must see if you’re in Italy!
