The proper composition of the subject can affect the overall outcome of a photograph. There are certain guidelines that you can follow in order to come up with effective shots that improve the quality of your picture! Here are some tips!

When you think about how you are going to compose a photo, there are a lot of things that you can consider. The main focus of your photo must be the subject that you wish to highlight but there are ways you can improve how the picture turns out Here are a few tips that might help:

Look for Patterns
If you take a look around, you may see that there are patterns everywhere. Adding patterns to your composition makes the photo more interesting. Here are a few examples of photos that have patterns.

Play With Textures
Having textures on your photos is another way to boost its appeal. Like patterns, textures are also seen everywhere. You can use wood, water, fire, gravel or just about anything that you think might appear good on your shot. Take a look at some examples!

Lines on a photo can help focus the eye to the subject. The lines can be from the surroundings, or you can also play with the exposure in order to create lines of light on your photos! View some of these wonderful shots with lines.

Composition really is my weakness! There seem to be some who are just naturals, but I'm certainly not, so I often end up with loads of boring shots -which is even worse because I mostly do B&W, so no colours to distract from poor compositions.. Thanks for the tips!
