A happy accident while cleaning my lens produced some great results on my Seagull 4a.
I’ve recently been given a Seagull 4a and the lens popped out while I was cleaning it. I was rushing out to take some photos, so I quickly popped the lens back in. What I didn’t realize at the time was that I put the lens the wrong way around.
I had accidentally flipped the lens.
The results were quite striking. Distorted around the edges, but in focus in the middle of the image. Some came out better than others.
If you want to try this, the most common camera to lens flip with is the Brownie Hawkeye
Techniques of how to flip the lens vary from camera to camera, but if you do a search online you’ll be able to find details on how to modify your camera.
