So the shop is now open and we would like to share the best snaps from the opening party with you!
We finished all the preparation work at 16:59 and the door opened at 17:00 for the invited press and media partners. After a few glasses of sparkling wine and some matured Dutch cheese it was time to share the whole building with over 300 guests that attended the official opening party at 20:00. It only took a couple of minutes until the store got really full.
Right at the boiling point of the party Lomography Netherlands General Manager Madri raised her voice to welcome the guest and to announce the Lomography Gallery Store Amsterdam open. This announcement was followed by the traditional “cut the cake” ceremony. Since it was a Tuesday night we had to close the party around midnight but it could have rolled on into an early morning.
The dutch Lomography team and Lomography Headquarters representatives had their last sip of champagne way past midnight, in order to be able to open the shop the following day on time.
Thanks to everybody who showed up and helped making this happen!

There is no way to go but up for creative people. Rest is for the lazy, or so we believe. We like to push our limits and boundaries, yearning to be 'better'. "Better" is a myth, even you, photographer, needs rest.
Lomography Gallery Store Soho hosted a new exhibition of analogue photographs by Charlie Phillips entitled 'London is the Place for Me'. We also held a Meet the Artist evening, inviting questions from the attendees to gain a better understanding and hear the back stories behind the work on display.
