The Protest Years; Hikoi of Hope. 1998

The Anglican Church organised the Hikoi(Maori, walk) of Hope involving over 40,000 New Zealanders. Walks began in the far north and south of NZ and converged on Parliament Grounds on 1 October 1998. The issues were housing, health, education and growing inequality.
