Mt.Kumgang (Northkorea #9)

Kumgang is one of the most beautiful mountains in the DPRK and is sacred for the Koreans. In 1998 the region was even allowed for tourists from the south. Within a decade around one million South Koreans visited the area. This stopped after an incident in July 2008, when a tourist was shot, because she was in a closed military zone and is acclaimed to have fled. International tourists are still allowed to go, though...
