I started working for the Canadian Rodeo News in 1974 and it was just a given that I would take pictures as well, although I don't think they expected me to step into the arena. Rodeo photography kept me in beer money for a number of years and I travelled across Western Canada. A little known fact about me is that I gave bull riding demonstrations on a mechanical bull at Klondike Days in Edmonton in 1975.
