Starting my photography hobby a little earlier than I thought

While digging through some recently acquired old photos, I found this picture of me in 1982 with a camera in my hand on a San Francisco trolley. I remember the trip but not the camera. I am sure my having it was my uncle’s doing who is sitting to the right of me in glasses. He was an amateur photographer of the nth degree. He always had a 110 or 135 camera in his jacket that I can remember. Although he would throw out half the pictures because he had a thumb in the way or the strap. Still he would persistently snap away trying to capture the moment.

My father took this photo with his Canon AE-1. I plan on putting more pictures up from the trip later.

ohh!! really nice blog entry!!! a few months ago, I started looking for some pics I took when I was 3 or 4, with one of those little spy/toy cams, but sadly I couldn't find them... but despite of that, I was really happy of realising that my mom believed in me as a photographer since an early age :)

@ropi it is fun to know your hobby started so long ago. I wish I had my first pictures too.

I always liked being the photographer rather than the subject until the last few years when I started taking photos of myself with my cell phone and tablet. So there are no photos of me holding a camera because I was hiding from it.
