The plan was to shoot another sun trail, but it was pointless due to it being very cloudy in my hometown Basel yesterday. Did this double exposure instead, an interesting contrast between the new and modern Herzog & De Meuron designed exhibition center overlaid with the classic Basel skyline view incl. Münster and the ferris wheel of the soon to be held Herbstmesse

Another one of my in-camera contact print tests, actually one of my absolute favorites at the moment. It's not your ordinary double-exposure, however it is all done in camera without any effects or filters. If you like to know how, I wrote a tipster about my latest large format experiences: https://www.lomography.com/homes/montagu/notes/1927477-my-large-format-love-story

Me and one of my oldest friends Nicolas went for another hike, this time in the gorgeous Appenzell area, walking up to the Chäserugg, a mountain of the Churfürsten chain with an amazing view on the Walensee. Complete with crazy scary cliffs and breathtaking views. Switzerland's golden autumn is unbelievable, especially coming from a few years straight living in Beijing. Hiking with a LF kit however, I only recommend it if you are as determined as I am, very heavy and leaves not much room for picknick and other essentials

    shared by montagu on 2018-01-22

I am happy about this one, as Imago Positive Paper is so hard to expose properly. My girl Dudu with one of her spiral artworks. As a background I just hung up her Furoshiki, a handmade silk scarf from Japan. Natural overcast light through the window, 2 second exposure. All those hours of Yoga finally pay off, she can sit really still.

My favorite time of the day, twilight. I tried to capture it with a long exposure from the moment the sun went down until full darkness. Challenging to meter on slide film but it worked out very well.

    shared by montagu on 2017-11-29

The Klöntalersee, a gem of a lake about 30min drive from my house. Cliffs, woods, complete solitude during winter. The pass road is pretty much closed, I saw one man throughout the whole day. Found this spot with amazing symmetry and decided it's time for a super wide shot. Interesting detail is the small water vortex on bottom left. What is it! Where does the water go? Food for thoughts

Roald Amundsen, the famous polar explorer, spent his last days in Tromsø where he left for his last mission in 1928. In fact it was a rescue mission to save his collegue Umberto Nobile who crashed with a hot air ballon north of Spitzberg. Amundsen and the whole rescue team nevar came back, neither did the Nobile crew they tried to save. There are a few statues and a polar museum in Tromsø to remind the story of this glorious explorer...

On the way home, one picture to go, might as well snap one away street style. f64 30s exposure of the train arriving at the station very slowly, thus the strong light streaks but rather transparent train. I was really happy how that one turned out, given that I set up, metered and shot the picture within about 2 minutes, a personal best so far.

First try of taking off the rear element of my Schneider f5.6 150mm to transform it into a f16 450mm. Makes the edges softer and there's clearly some chromatic abberation visible. But having a 150/450 combo definitely makes that tradeoff worthwhile.
