LCA Digi-Back:
One of the endearing features of the original LCA is the “smaller-than-life” focus indicator icons located discretely inside the viewfinder. Really, if you didn’t know they were there, you may not have even noticed them!
I wanted to take that “viewfinder view” and put it somewhere it could be seen! Ends up looking like a digi-back I know but it still serves as a handy reminder of the fact that the focus is manually adjustable. Want to take a picture of a person right in front of you? That’s right, focus on the building behind him!
So what’s with the stars? Check it out. I am sure there is a star on the building in the photo I took of the actual icons in my original LCA, but then again, this hasn’t been cleaned in years…OK…ever, so it could be a piece of shmuck. Still, the star is a real harp back to LCA roots in Communist Russia and as such seemed pretty well suited to the overall design.
