During my stay in Maccagno, I was fascinated by the view from the house we rented: from the hill, there was this stunning panorama of the lake, oriented full south, so that I could watch the sunrise coming from behind the mountains on the left and the sunset when the light disappeared behind the mountains on the right. I really became obsessed with this view, shooting it a lot of times at various moments of the day, mainly morning and end of the day. Here's a little selection of some of these views, hope you enjoy it and understand my compulsive obsession to shoot this panoramic view...
A weeks ago I got a black Canon AE-1 Program. I gave her a cleaning and changed all the sealings. I wanted to test her because the Canon AE-1 Program was the first camera I owned when I was 18. This expired Kodak Gold 200 shows some pictures of Rueggisberg, a cat in my garden and a nice and not very known place of sandstone caves at the Belpberg which is very close to my hometown. I also tested new Canon FD lenses which I git also in December. The Canon FD 100mm 1:2, Canon FD 35-70 1:2.8 and Canon FD 100-300mm for the cat pictures. all lenses performed excellent.
this roll of Ektar came from a friend of mine and was badly stored. the results are not that bad and i wonder how bad others rolls must have been stored as the results are really aweful. i know this one was for 19 years in a drawer in a living room.
Many things have changed in my life when the year was 2011. I was freed from a destructive relationship and I had to put all the pieces together and rebuild my soul from scratch. This was a black & white year with just a little bit of colour. I was looking at the world from a different perspective. I was learning to be myself again, but without the colours. The most important thing I found in my search was the dream. I've found my dream and I followed Now, when looking back to that year, shooting mainly black and white film seems to be a completely logical choice, not just a coincidence. I bought my Minolta X-700 from a car boot sale in 2014 and since then it's been my most favorite, trusted and versatile 35mm film camera. It came with the standard 50/1.7 Minolta MD lens and later I've added a 28/2.8 wide angle Centon and 35-135/4 -5.6 Tokina zoom lens. With the appropriate adapter ring I was able to use all of my M42 lenses as well. In this album I'll share some of my favorite shots, old and new taken with this amazing camera.
