First cross processing

I really wanted to try the velvia, but it took me so long to find a lab to cross process it for me. I checked out thedarkroom.com, and they had reasonable prices. I think the problem is my Holga. A small sponge-like piece fell out, and I thing it needs to be there to keep the film tightly wrapped? I guess I need to find something to replace it. Any thoughts?
