http://www.blanchesnickelodeon.com/ I posted my favourite cross-processed shots of home the other day, which inspired me to give it a go in Kenya… Cross process or Xpro is shooting on slide film (E6) and developing it as regular colour film (C41). It produces surprising and irregular results… I’m still to master it. I took the film to the photoshop I use to develop any colour film I shoot here in Nairobi. I sneakily covered up the labels of the films with stickers, hoping the lab would not know the difference between the C41 and E6 films I’d handed in. They did notice and so I explained what I wanted. They had never heard of cross processing and were intrigued to see the results once I told them what to expect. I also told them how popular it is amongst the Lomography community. I have three Kodak Elitechrome films with me here and at 200 Kenyan Shillings or £1.50 for developing I might just give it another try.

;) :D :D :D http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schloss_Solitude

    shared by wil6ka on 2016-09-19

When I went to Båstnäs I was praying for good weather and a little bit of light. If you shoot on film you have a natural set of boundaries, that doesn't apply to the possibilities of digital. But you have to tackle the obstackles and make the most of it. I got lucky and crouched deep into a world of metal and rust...

Together with my wife, I was in Russia visiting her family and friends. One day when we visited her family I ran out of films. So I asked my mother-in-law if she accidentially still has some left because she also still shoots film. She gave me a few and among them was also this one. It seems like to have been already exposed once by my father-in-law on a journey long time ago. What happened now is, without knowing that it was exposed already, I put it in my old LOMO Lubitel because I wanted to try a 35mm film in this medium format camera. The results are here. Somtimes there are no double exposuresat all, so only the journey of my father-in-law or only my shots (even some doubleexposures) or there are nice doubles of two different exposures from approx. 20 years ago and recently in 2015. For me a quite interesting, unexpected surprise. But I really like it.

Playing around with redscale film & various exposure settings... All random shots. Some shots were okay, some were pretty bad; but it was all fun! I will definitely play around with this kind of film again in the future :)

In the highlands, finding the good light is often a tricky game: the sun is there, but hidden behind some clouds or mist. If you're patient enough, you can sometimes catch a ray of light passing through the clouds, and sometime you can miss it as it can be a very short moment of beautiful light. So, this roll was one of a typical day were I was hunting the light, trying to catchsome of these moments. Nonetheless, even without a ray of sun, the landscapes were still amazing when the clouds, rain or mist covered the whole area...

after some days of drama with some friends in berlin, me and Isabel decided to leave the city for a few days in order to clear up our minds (and souls) by enjoying the breathtaking and unique shores of the ostsee. as soon as we got there it was pouring and so we were somehow forced to visit the only indoor place in the area: a butterfly farm, which turned out to be pretty cool in the end. luckily for us the day after proved to be totally sunny and, as far as it's possible for this place, warm. we found ourselves enjoying simple things like feeling the sun on our skin and the wind blowing through our hair and eventually we managed to keep the drama away for the whole day.
