View from Sugarloaf in South Deerfield. The CT River winds through the valley with the fields of Hadley on the left side and the farms of Whately on the right side. This is some of the best agricultural land in the US with all kinds of crops ranging from potatoes and onions to tobacco, grass turf, corn, pumpkins and other produce. I didn't realize that these vintage Dianas have 16 square frames of 4cm each rather than 12 frames of 6cm. After I clicked number 12 I started winding forward only to discover there were more numbers. :)

Being in the tool business has allowed me access to some amazing places that few will ever see. Most of these shots were taken in the machine shop area of a local knife factory. Started in 1840, Lamson and Goodnow is one of the oldest continuously operating companies in the USA. This particular building dates from the late 1800's. Old tools and ancient greasy machines are everywhere throughout the facility and a thick layer of grime permeates every surface. It is in short, a fascinating place. :)
